The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association recently announced its line-up of conference events for the second annnual JPMA Baby Show, a JPMA and Family Media Event, scheduled March 20-23 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.
Topics include “Leveling the Playing Regulatory Playing Field for Small Businesses and Parent Purchasing Behaviors in the Digital Age.
In addition, a breakout pannel with focus on “International Business Trenches,” a question and answer event with industry experts. Another session will feature Alibaba’s IPR Enforcement Program.
A media and marketing breakfast bootcamp for public realtions and marketing professionals is scheduled and requires reservations. A consumer panel discussion with moms from the DC area is also planned. Educational sessions are scheduled on the show floor throughout the day.
Ann Marie Buerkle, acting chairman of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, will offer the keynote presentation on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 8-9:30AM at the convention center. A continental breakfast will be available followed by the opening of the exhibit floor at 10 AM.
Ms. Buerkle has served as a commissioner of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission since July 2013 and became the agency’s acting chairman in February 2017. Nominated by President Donald J. Trump to be Chairman of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, her nomination has been twice voted out of committee and is awaiting full Senate action. Prior to joining the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Ms. Buerkle served New York’s 25th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Members of JPMA will gather for their annual meeting and receptioni from 5-6:30 p.m. on March 20, and an all industry party is scheduled from 6-9 p.m. on March 22.
The JPMA Baby Show will brings the juvenile products industry together for North America’s only trade event that combines conference, trade show, and consumer day programming under one roof. The JPMA Baby Show will host 200,000 sq. ft. of curated floor space featuring leading manufacturers in sleep and furniture, mobility, feeding, child restraint systems, health and safety, gear, and soft goods.
