Returning to the Las Vegas Convention Center from October 17-19 are juvenile products exhibitors and retailers gathering for the 15th annual ABC Kids Expo. Returning this year is the Awards of Distinction recognizing the best products from brands participating in the New Product Showcase.
The New Product Showcase allows manufacturers to introduce new products to the industry in a showroom adjacent to the trade show floor. Companies have until August 31, or until the showcase is filled, to submit products for the showcase. A special reception on October 16 allows independent specialty retailers and members of the media to get a first look at the new products.
Last year’s event attracted more than 12,000 attendees, including 325 first time exhibitors and more than 900 exhibitors. There were almost 3,000 exhibitor booths at the 2016 event.
Major exhibitor categories range from maternity and baby gear to apparel and gifts, as well as furnishings, toys, and more. Special juried sections are dedicated to Modern Child® and Naturally Kids®
Maternity Square® features manufacturers of maternity clothing and lingerie as well as fashion and accessory items such as diaper bags, nursing slings, and nursing covers. A runway show is scheduled October 16 and deadline for submissions is August 31.
The Naturally Kids exhibit pavilion showcases manufacturers of environmentally friendly products that are healthy for families and children, and demonstrate a responsibility to the planet and its resources. It is a juried section and includes a variety of categories
Focusing on contemporary design and high functionality is the Modern Child Pavilion, another juried section of the show. The emphasis is on originality, creativity, innovation, and authenticity, as well as functionality in addressing the needs of today’s parents and children.
The Invention Connection returns to provide investors an opportunity to show prototypes in a conceptual or prototype state in an enclosed pavilion. This exhibitor area is designed for inventors seeking manufacturers to license or produce their products, as well as those simply seeking feedback on their products from retailers and the press.
The ABC Kids Expo attracts the industry elite, with virtually every significant manufacturer or distributor of products for infants and children presenting their newest, most innovative products and services in the 1 million square feet of exhibit space.
The All Baby & Child was officially formed in 2003 and it has since introduced its Baby Product Experts program to provide specialty retailers with tools and a national presence. Brixy, a new retail specialty organization was formed in 2012. Through the years ABC has made sizable donations to juvenile charities exceeding more than $1.75 million.
All Baby & Child Corporation (ABC), the parent company of ABC Kids Expo®, is a non-profit with a partnership between independent specialty stores and manufacturers. It promotes the growth and prosperity of independent retailers and manufacturers in the juvenile products industry. A spring conference and smaller show are also offered.
