ABC, Brixy Sponsor ABC Spring
Educational Conference May 10-12, 2016
The board of All Baby & Child and Brixy, the association representing brick and mortar stores serving the juvenile industry, are encouraging retailers to attend the 8th annual event and take advantage of numerous offers. Among the offers is a reward of discounted hotel rooms to retailers who meet certain criteria.
The annual spring educational conference, slated May 10-12 in Tampa, is sponsored by All Baby & Child, Inc., producers of the popular international and industry-wide ABC Kids Expo. The educational conference provides specialty store retailers with the opportunity to gain important knowledge about the products they sell and learn about ever-changing relevant industry issues that affect them now and in the future.
Conference speakers, panels, and workshops are planned to provide conference attendees access to the latest topics and industry trends, government regulations that may directly affect them, information about where the profitable opportunities lie based on direct feedback from attendee’s peers, and lively discussion on what is working and what is not working in today’s rapidly changing consumer-driven marketplace.
Built into the conference is a trade show that provides retailers with the opportunity to meet with their key suppliers to further develop professional relationships, view new mid-year product introductions, and discuss methods to improve or sustain profitability for all parties.
The juvenile product industry’s spring educational conference provides the optimal combination of learning, networking and purchasing opportunities that will help enable juvenile specialty stores and their key suppliers to better compete, thrive, and prosper in the decades ahead.
To earn discounted hotel rooms, retailers will be given a Retailer Lodging Card when they register. Retailers who receive a stamp at each of six events and stay in one of the ABC room blocks for all nights including May 9, 10, and 11 will qualify for a $40 per night reimbursement.
In addition, retailers can register for the event at no cost through April 8, and will receive vouchers for orders placed at the show. Some exhibitors will be offering “Smokin’ Super Deals” and retailers who order from those exhibitors will receive additional credit.
Four conference speakers are scheduled, including Bob Phipps whose sales training programs are the source for many retailers’ growth. He will speak on “You Can Compete!” and “The Difficult Conversation.” Tom Shay will speak on “Small Businesses Don’t Die, They Just Commit Suicide” and “The Cost of Dead Inventory.” Brian Patterson will speak about “Next Level Digital Marketing Strategies.”
The trade show is scheduled for 11 a.m.-6 p.m. May 11 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. May 12.
