Davin & Adley, a female-owned small business founded by a breastfeeding mom and experienced intimate designer, Amanda Hunt. Hunt was previously Senior Technical Designer and Product Development Specialist for All Brands Intimates & Swimwear at Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Anthropologie and turned her design expertise to postpartum intimates after the birth of her first child.
Hunt launched Davin & Adley with a focus on nursing bras and started with the Ella, the Autumn, and the Logan. She wanted to give moms functional products from fabrics that give and return as their breast sizes change constantly and also make moms look and feel their best. The patented reusable one-piece nursing liner was also part of the original lineup and is a gamechanger for moms who want to go about their day without their nursing pads moving around in their bras.
Accolades: The Amelia Pumping & Nursing Swim Cami was named a 2022 JPMA Innovation Award Winner in the Parents Pick category. This product will be available in Spring 2023 in solid black, a hot coral ribbed version, a black and white chevron stripe, and a bright custom floral. In January 2023, BestProducts.com tested nursing bras from the top nursing bra companies in the world and awarded the Ella bra the number one spot of “Best Overall.” The Autumn was also recognized as number six as “Best Pumping Bra.”
Hunt has expanded her collection since launching and now offers extended sizing that goes up to a true 2X – feedback from plus size customers were that other nursing bra brands claimed to offer up to 2X but ran very small. Davin & Adley’s 2X runs true to size. Hunt now offers plus sizes (2X for all styles and 3X in the Amelia Cami), busty sizes and regular sizes and preaches inclusivity by not charging more for 1X/2X/3X.
Most recently, Hunt decided to take on the traditional mesh postpartum underwear and launched the Mia Boxer, a modern postpartum short to replace uncomfortable and outdated hospital mesh panties. The Mia Boxer is the first ultra-high waist, long leg maternity and postpartum boxer short designed to discreetly hold large maternity pads without lumps and bumps. Other features include: an extra wide crotch gusset lined in cotton with front to back coverage, high waist to sit above C-Section scars, comfortable tummy compression to be worn under a belly binder, wide hem on the legs to prevent rolling, and high performance athletic fabric for solid coverage. The Mia Boxer can be worn by themselves or layered under clothing.
