Toy Industry Association Plans Meetings About CPSIA
The Toy Industry Association (TIA) has planned a series of small luncheons for those interested in learning more about the Toy Safety Certification Program (TSCP) and how it can help businesses satisfy the requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).
The meetings are planned for toymakers who may be asking asking questions such as: Why go beyond CPSIA when that alone is difficult? Isn't there enough testing and auditing already required? Won't TSCP increase my costs? Will I save money in the long run? Isn't this just for big companies? What’s the benefit to me? When will I be able to be certified? Will I be at a competitive disadvantage if I’m not certified? What are my factories required to do?
Small group sessions are planned in Los Angeles on July 16, Chicago on July 20, and New York on July 23. Advance registration is required. For information call Tee Valentin at 646/ 454-5584.
